Our review
Rywell's 2.0 mat is the largest in this roundup at 44 x 32 inches and the least expensive pick here. The listing describes a thicker Arc-Chill (Q-Max > 0.5) cooling layer, a waterproof interior, a non-slip bottom and a surface that changes color as it absorbs heat. It is foldable, machine washable in cool water and sold in several colors.
Owners like it for big dogs. Reviewers say they can feel the cool every time they touch it, that the fabric is soft and silky, and that it washes easily. One owner put it over a memory-foam bed that her older dog soils and says the waterproof layer saved the bed. A Malamute owner takes it to the beach and lake and lays it in the back seat of his truck.
Care is the catch. The same reviewer who loves it says her partner washed it with other laundry and dried it in direct sun, and the cooling was cut roughly in half and the color changed where it was damaged. Other buyers report fading, durability feedback is mixed and some say it is not worth the cost, so wash it cold and dry it in the shade.
