We're a small team of pet owners who got tired of generic "best of" lists that clearly hadn't tested anything. So we started PetPicks to help fellow pet parents find gear that actually works.

How We Test

Every product we feature goes through a rigorous evaluation process:

  • Research phase: We analyze specs, user reviews across Amazon, Reddit, and pet owner forums, and manufacturer claims.
  • Hands-on testing: When possible, we purchase or obtain review units and test them with our own pets for at least 2 weeks.
  • Comparison: Products are evaluated against competitors in the same price range and category.
  • Ongoing updates: We revisit reviews when new models launch or prices change significantly.

Editorial Policy

Our recommendations are never influenced by affiliate commissions. We earn money when you buy through our links, but our ratings and rankings are based solely on product quality and value.

We will never promote a product we don't believe in. If a product doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't make the list — regardless of commission rates.
