Our review
Henkelion is the budget pick here. It is a simple collapsible polyester carrier with four-side mesh, an adjustable shoulder strap and two connecting loop handles that double as a seat-belt or luggage strap. The listing sells it as airline approved for pets up to 15 pounds.
At 17 x 11 x 11 inches it folds down for storage between trips. Reviewers give it good marks for value, easy carrying through airports and a design that fits under seats, and many use it for vet visits with small and medium cats.
Zippers and durability are where opinions split: some say the zippers work well and the carrier is built to last, others report zippers failing and the carrier breaking easily. The listing also gives a recommended pet size of 15 x 9 x 9 inches, smaller than the carrier itself, so do not choose on weight alone.
